She had her first dentist appointment without sedation today and was an absolute star. It was only her second dentist experience ever, and she was so good about everything. Last time the vet did her teeth and I think the vet sedates as a matter of course.

This time I opted to use the dentist and no sedation and Mim got to show off her brilliant manners that we work on constantly. She stood, and backed up and waited patiently. She only got a little worried about the electrical tools but beyond some tail swishing and eye-rolling, there was no drama, and she was very happy to be patted and scratched by the dentist afterwards so no hard feelings.

I’m so lucky with this horse, she is the easiest, sweetest creature.

This was her Worried Face, poor thing ?

Aw, what a good horse. :) My two had their teeth done yesterday, the arab had a bit of sedative, the companion pony who is 13.2 on his tiptoes wasn't having any of it without extra drugs and being well in the land of nod!

All bar the naughty one have the dentist routinely every 6-8 months none have ever been sedated they seem to love it the old girl wasnt happy about being sedated for her tooth removal and fillings but it was necessary of course but it made her very grumpy
