So I know this might not sound exciting but it so is for me!
My 2yr old gelding loves to stand on his back legs at any stressful moment! But he's getting a bit better :s
Anyway its so windy here today and he was chraging around the field and chuck his head in the air as I tried to catch him for breakfast! Then he was all spinny on the yard but still managed to successfully pick his feet out with no arguements!
But then, I had to take him back so of course, passing the shetlands field was going to be fun so he decided he wasn't going past it and proceed to rear and turn in circles about 20 times! And this is the exciting bit! For the first time in the 2ish months he's been doing it! I didn't get scared! My heart didn't start racing and I didn't start shaking or shouting at him to stop! I let him get it out of his system and calmly told him he was going to walk back to the field nicely and he couldn't rear when we got back into the field! And it worked! He walked back fine then! And finally I'm learning to not be scared of it!
