He has always been B team to this talented his sister who qualified for the National SJ Championships in France. 12 clear rounds out of 14 starts. His problem is being 'all boy' his concentration lapses. Our current rider much prefers his sister, but two weeks ago they both got 4 faults in the same class - I thought he was jumping better.
Weekend just passed, our rider wanted to enter him in a 1.05M class and 'sis' in a 1.10M. I asked her to change them "They are your horses, came the reply" She was not happy. He is not a speed horse, but the fastest clear round at 1.10M Amateur Grand Prix, whereas Sis got 4 faults in her class - though very fast.
I am so proud of him and vindicated that I made the right decision. The rider was delighted.
