Have had new horsey for nearly a month now and have hacked her out in company and on my own (prefer going in company at the mo as she was a little fresh on one occassion!!) anyway as I have been really busy for a few days I haven't managed to ride so last nite when i got to the yard i decided to lunge - one other livery from my block of 3 stables was in the school leaving one in which was calling for the other two. My horse was being a mentalist and trying to run back to her stable, bucking and generally doing her best to get me miffed. Other horse in school was being ok but had a few moments! Anyway I carried on and in the end managed to get her settled and working nicely - I am so proud of myself as I am not used to bigger horses (last one was 14.2) and when she buggered about a couple of weeks ago it made me wonder why i bought her. Sorry for the long post I'm just pleased with myself

Thank you - i do feel really stupid at times tho as have had horses since i was a kid - i think it has something to do with the fact that i saved and purchased her all by myself and am paying for everything on my own (i'm nearly divorced). I was just so scared that I had made a mistake by buying another horse a couple of weeks ago. I am going to ride her in the school tonight - only walking and trotting until i feel ready to up the pace and jump!!!
