My four year old daughter had her 4th riding lesson today! Although she has sat on horses quite a lot, she has hardly ridden at all!

But she managed to do rising trot today! I am soooooo proud of her, she is such a natural.
 
Aw, pictures would be lovely.:D Its amazing how some small children seem to be at home in the saddle. They have no preconceptions about what they ought to be doing and ride more by feel at that age if they are lucky enough to have an instinctive teacher.

Yes. She has overcome a lot of medical problems and had 5 major operations too. She is very brave too!
I have been wanting to get her on a pony as soon as possible, and although she has sat on horses quite a lot, she has never had a chance to ride properly as riding schools won't take them before they are four. She was four 2 weeks ago and has had 4 lessons already! She is very keen!

I've just seen your post regarding your niece. Sounds similar to my daughter, she started school today too :0(

What a poppet. Looking at her obvious enjoyment with the pony, it hasn't dampened her zest for life. Children are pretty amazing.
