So Sad..

The ********. I'd give them a suspended sentence. A rope would be involved! When oh when will we have fierce legislation to keep these kind of people out of business, and to limit severely the breeding of yet more dogs in a society which can't manage to look after the ones we already have. Thanks Moomin for showing this. the more people who "read. learn and inwardly digest" as my old teacher used to say the better.

I find it sad that people still buy off these scumbag places.

This. I just do not understand why people still go to places like this despite all the publicity about how to buy a puppy from a responsible breeder . Well done to the Manchester Evening News for their investigation and bringing this place to the attention of the RSPCA . From one article I read it would seem he had a breeders licence previously but hadn't had one for 18 months, why did the council not check up on this!

Unfortunately Greater Manchester has a preponderance of these people. Another puppy farm was discovered quite near me - owners were prosecuted for the SECOND time. Dead pups were found, poor living conditions, no licence etc. Interestingly the house they lived in is up for sale with no chain - I suspect the locals probably gave them a dose of the rough music and they moved out PDQ. Going by the surname, I'm fairly sure they are a settled traveller family - there are ALOT in the area and sadly I've heard alot of complaints about animal welfare, out and out threats to the neighbours, helping themselves to other peoples' land. They don't do themselves any favours.

One down a few hundred more puppy farms to go. I foster dogs for a charity and they are often expuppy farm breeding dogs. The two I have at the moment are probably spme of the worst we have had. One is (was :) ) terrified and has had broken ribs from being kicked etc and was so fat (they sometimes feed them up so they get big puppies) that she could hardly walk let alone run. The other one is skin and bones and just a mess. She used to run around in circles the whole time like a horse box walking. Something more must be able to be done to stop this, some times I'm so ashamed to be a human...

You are all being too kind to these virmin.
Both men should be castrated to avoid them breeding and the fine shoud have been much higher in the region of £25,000

It's a shame they can't get them where it really hurts - in the pocket 400 puppies a year at £250 each is £100k - make the fine look really pathetic. With that sort of income and suchj rubbish penalties for being caught it's no wonder it keeps happerning.
