I was browsing on facebook and pictures of an injured horse popped up on my news feed. I clicked on the album to find out what had happened to the poor thing. It is a friend of a friends album so not sure if you will be able to see it if i post the link.

The woman who owns the horse write the following (it has been translated so not 100% accurate). "My horses have been attacked in meadow yesterday
The photos speak for themselves ... one or sick horses were attacked yesterday in the late morning ... for Tibet, who had just returned to cover Azzel, we think of a metal oar or ax, Poku, pieces of stone were ... in the wound. The person or persons have entered hard with determination and a stroke. A blond man was seen running in the meadow. They are both at the University of Liege. Multiple fractures of facial bones and sinuses and significant bone loss, muscle and skin. In Tibet, there is a great divide in the orbit and the ophthalmologist should decide today on the future of his right eye. The facial nerve is most likely cut, the lacrimal duct as the lesions are very deep. Cleaned, it is much worse. For Poku, the pieces you see are the walls of the sinuses, skull exploded on impact and the air passes through the gaping cavity. The splinters that my vet removed before leaving clinic are in the tray. There are many splinters of bone in each and they come into surgery this morning. Their future is guarded because the risk of infection, necrosis, complications as it lacks tissue for reconstruction is important. I'll let you know. Share on your walls, relaying the info, it''s all that we have a chance to return to them or the monsters have inflicted such suffering. I'm in shock, we spent the night in Liege with them and came back this morning. May God help us and support us. Help us find the monster who did this ... we think a client or clients of kayaks that made (are) the descent of the Lesse. Addi, Magic and Serra have nothing, except a scratch on the backside for Addi, she took a shot but could not be cut because she limps, the muscle is super painful. They were less confident with strangers and certainly did not approach as the other two. Pray for us, pray that their suffering is not too important, pray for them to survive and find a comfortable living for our side. I've never been as shocked"
