Took the Coblet show jumping today, just thinking it will be like normal, getting up to No 9 and lucky enough to not get a refusal or pole down. WELL!! by Jove I think he's got it!! Entered 2'3... Looked more like 2'6-2'9 but oh well I was suprised when we got past number 9 and went around to number 12... WE DID IT!!! he went as if he was on speed! Cleared everything by about 1ft clearance and we came 6th!! Unfortunatly someone went faster than us so knocked us out if the ribbons but I was so chuffed to even be 6th... For 10 minutes but I don't care, he tried his little heart out!
Warming up for class 4 (supposedly 2'6-2'9... More like 3'!) we got a little carried away and wore him out a wee bit... Oops :p What got me smiling the most was we were in an arena full of 17handers all tarted up with their draw reins and gadgets an there's us on a little 13.3 cob :D warming up over a 3' spread gyp popped it very nicely. Then comes the high horse, completely fails the jump, then gives me the snottiest look you could imagine, I just grinned back and mumbled, bet you want a cob now, dont'cha :D
Anyway, had 1 down in class 4 so no place, but got a cracking photo :D

Your pony is gorgeous! Did they get any pictures of the bigger class?

(as an aside, please don't mock those on their massive great horses who are struggling- sister is about your age and rides such a horse and until this year did get hugely worried about people making snap judgements about her and her horse because he's blimmin tricky but looks rather smart!)
