7 months ago my horse had a fall in the field and whilst on box rest got accute lamintis (after vet advised us to turn him out evan with mild laminitis to sort out the muscle damage
( turned acute after 5 days out) well he's been sound now for a fortnight and been going back out for an hour a day and done a bit of light lunging the past week and today.........I GOT BACK ON!!!! he still felt as good as ever (and totally sound!) only walked and had a trot on each rein couldnt believe he still worked in a lovely out line there was a few moments he felt a bit tense but ill let him off!!! just so happy we seem to be getting there as his owner and i were in two minds weather to pts as he is 20 (going on 5!) just cant wait to get out hunting and xc again! pray the laminitis stays away just got to get as fit as we were b4 and get over these horrid last 7 months!!!!
