I currently have rubber matting and just sprinkle a bucket of shavings to soak up wee but have 2 very dirty horses and have been reading posts about wood pellets, my question is can I use them the same way - ie just a sprinkling (I know I sound mean but finances are tight at the moment) - perhaps wetting them first or would I be better putting a small bed in say the back half of the box (12x12) - for the second scenario how many bags would I need to start with. Also can I use wood pellets from a local hardware store? Sorry for all the questions and thanks so much in advance for your help!
