Eight year old, middle-weight chestnut t.b mare. 100% bomb proof on roads, travels, no stable vices, rides alone or in company. Looks like a sports horse, 17hh a very big girl.

Jumping cross country fences and show jumps, eager, forward going and very brave. Needs more schooling on the flat, being a little difficult in trot but showing lots of potential. Riden in a snaffle and crackle, completely sound. Would need work on flat as quite strong and forward going.

If you could from your experience give me a guide price, it would be most appreicated.

Difficult to assess without seeing her but I would think £1500-2000, more if she is showing a good scopey jumping technique.

PS - It's grackle rather than crackle!

She went to her first meet at South Notts a couple of weeks ago. She was excellent and did not dance around, be naughtey in any way, she was eager and strong. My friend who was riding her, had her out for just 1.5 hours as they were going further from home and her mouth was cut.

In the past year, she has been hacked out for miles, goes over railway crossings, bridges all the lot. She has had cross country schooling and loves water, steps up and down and will jump anything. Havent taken her over 3ft yet, have just concentrated on doing complexes etc. Has been to clear round show jumping indoors and jumps clear, still not over 3ft. Very eager and forward going, not naughtey at all, just loves her job, so needs a confident rider to bring her on.

Schooling, lack of menage has dictated this and so the above have come first (I know its the wrong way round)

Not current, but will try and get one a.s.a.p, she is very pretty and as I said a good middle weight horse. Most people seeing her think she is warm blood. Shes the type that is very forward going, stides out, not jig jogs and switches off completely. When she was stood waiting for the hunt to set off, she was nearly asleep and the minute you pick up the reins she is ready.

I would say £4k, its difficult without a picture and without seeing her go but if she will hunt then definitely £4k or upwards. Her size gives you a limited market, (definitely not for dots like me) but there are lots of people out there that like to be on a big un so their fences look smaller !

Ooooo she sounds exactly like the horse I had on loan last summer - I would have been prepared to pay up to about £5k for her, actually probably more. She was (is) everything you describe your mare to be. A really good all rounder.

She sounds fabulous.

Take her hunting and ask what you like, sounds like a very nice type.
