...and I can ride again!!!! At last I'm getting somewhere.
Question is, after a wire wound, (she's had a few weeks box rest) how long would you walk for and how long would you leave it before picking up where you left off? The wound was to her pastern/fetlock area and the vet was VERY impressed at how well it was healing, although the skin hasn't closed up completely yet, the flesh underneath is level etc. She's sound and it isn't bothering her to have it poked and prodded now
It's only about half a cm wide now, and as I say, the flesh has healed, and a scab has formed, but the skin is taking slightly longer, but is healing.
