So today he trashed his rug!!

Sun is out today but was chilly this am so turned mine out in rugs. Have just gone to bring the fat ginger one in and he is naked. There is his very expensive Chaskit rug on the floor, completely trashed.

I can only assume he was too warm and stripped off.

So am off to buy a cheap lw to rug tomorrow!!

Oops! I have left mine without his rug in the hope he will burn some calories keeping warm and therefore reduce his waistline.

In revenge the little toad is now growing a winter coat of mammoth proportions whilst firmly hanging onto his tummy so I think I will have a Yak before long :-(

i've just put my new lightweight amigo rug on my horse and it's too small

, and i've bought a med weight in the same size

so now i have 2 that don't fit ( he must have grown in the last couple of months!)

and poor horsy is naked and its issing down. there is an equestrian evening on at my local contrywide store tomorrow, with lots of special offers, so i think i will be paying them a visit

my horse is constantly trashing his rugs or taking them off without undoing them. I either find them totally trashed and still on him or on the floor or done up and in one piece. I have no idea what he does in his spare time but all i do know is he seems to have too much of it to think of ways to destroy things. TBH last year I got so fed up I went and got him a canvas nz and a cheap heavy weight (for the middle of winter) from derby house. I thought no point going all out if it's going to be destroyed.
The derby house one was actually really really good and survived the winter so i was quite pleased.
