You know how once in a while it feels like nothing is going right and life is throwing every possible scrap of bad luck it could find in your direction?

i haven't seen the OH since i changed jobs a month ago, had to work all over christmas and new year (work in hotels), the car broke down and when i fixed it, then the accelerator cable snaps at four in the morning miles away from anywhere!
the horse develops a swelling all around his girth area (what do girth galls look like anyway?) have had a chest infection for well over a month but have to keep working anyway. horse then goes lame, OH falls sick over three of the almost five days we have together, occasional-help girl lets me down last minute (2330hrs the night before she's due to work),
now have to get up at 4am the day we're having 'christmas' to drive to horse (oh well, i guess it's what we 'sign up' for when we get these horses!
horse gets sound - at last things are looking up!
then say goodbye to OH as he goes back to work today (have no idea when i'll see him next

so, ride horse this afternoon, (he's had 2 days off) when my leg isn't even half way over the saddle he starts a bucking bronco, his saddle was fitted barely three months ago and he hasn't changed shape that much, his back was checked a month ago so i'm fairly certain he was just throwing all his teddies out of the pram for some obscure reason

half way down the drive and he's having a complete fit over a christmas tree, oh god help me, we evntually get passed it by careering off down the drive toward the road at the bottom filled with small people leaving school with umbrellas - why today????
we then get followed (quite closely) by a rather large dog, yet another hissy-fit!
i had planned a mixed ride containing a bit of everything for today but decided maybe just a trip around the block at whatever pace he felt happy with was probably in order.
by the ime he had nearly put me down a drain, in a stream, under a lorry, and on top of several cars i was beginning to get a bit fed up and was soaking wet.

eventually got home, just about in one piece, untacked, de-booted and the little toe rag bit me!

i was fuming! only just managed to hold my temper but told him in a very definate tone if he tried it again i'd launch him halfway to hong-kong!
and then, i sat down in the corner of my stable and burst into tears. too many little things have been thrown my way in the last couple of weeks and i've had enough!!

well done if you've made it this far, sorry for whinging. in need of hugs and some good luck for a while (maybe i'll start forwarding all those really annoying 'you'll get bad luck if you don't forward me' e-mails i get sent.

*goes to get large glass of wine* onward and upward, back to work 6am tomorrow!

Oh, poor you! Hugs and good luck directed your way, as requested.

Will all be better before you know it. In the meantime, wine is definitely the answer!

just remember it will all come good in the end , thats what i keep telling myself. and your not alone in having a long run of bad luck either.
my horse has been on box rest now for 15 weeks, still not getting any better, incurring me huge vet bills at the most expensive time of year and vet keeps trying all sorts to bump my bill up higher.
wrote my car off before xmas, insurance still not payed out yet, but had to buy another car as i can't cope without one with kids horses to see to at 2 yards 4 miles apart.
as for oh well hes been a right old misery guts all over the festive period, he works regular nights so we don't get much time together alone anyway, but we must have had some as i think im pregnant (must remember to get a test tommorrow)
but im pretty sure as im just crying at every thing.
and in 2 weeks time hubbys kids in turkey coming to live here with us, so instead of 2 kids im gonna have 4.
oh and credit card has been majorly bashed over xmas so now got more debt and i left my job last week as was just being exploited.
see your lifes not that bad really, anyway i hope you feel better soon.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, big, big hugs to you.
Hope this run of bad luck finishes sometime soon.
Look on the bright side, at least he only NEARLY put you down a drain, under a lorry, in a stream and on top of seceral cars. Good job he wasn't in a bad mood or anything. Lol.
Sorry hun, but i think little horsey should think himself lucky he isn't on his way to HK on the end of your boot!!
Chin up mate, could be worse.....don't know how but it could be

<<<<HUGS>>>> and Good luck coming your way as requested. Chin up, looking on the bright side, things can only get better.

Oh sounds like your having a right ol time of it at the moment, hugs and nice thoughts for you, it will all come right again soon im sure, have a glass of wine for me i cant go nea the stuff at the mo as the Kidney Stone is playing up again

Never mind "it will all come right in the end"...I have been this low too and it feels like rubbish! So I know where you are coming from...sometimes it would be nice to have a hole to crawl into and I have many a time wished to be a cat for a week as they have an easy life!!!
Sometimes I get so frustrated with running around like an idiot and nothing going right I feel like I need to explode or stand in a remote field and scream for as long as it takes to feel better...god that sounds bad I know...but believe you me, we have all been there.
I hope things start to improve for you and get better...unfortunately horses pick up on our stresses and then react...just when you don't need it!!!

Know how you feel! Having major issues too at the mo. I broke down in tears in the corner of my stable the other day too - luckily no-one on the yard noticed!

Hope you are feeling happier soon - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - or fatter if you take the chocolate route!
