Stilemans is looming only a few days away, didnt get balloted, weather is looking good, ive managed to stay in one piece, but guess what Hattie is now slightly lame behind again
and ive just had to withdraw from the first event of the season
As Mum put it so well, we put all our eggs in one basket just having Hattie to compete this year and now we've just gone and dropped the basket!
Anyone have any idea what she could have done to herself! we've had the chiropractor out and her back has been sorted and its not causing the lameness, our farrier has come out and had a good prod around and its not in her hind foot. She isnt conventionally lame, just looks "stiff" in her right hind and turning is when her discomfort is most obvious and she takes a shortened step and slightly collapses on it
we think its high up and are hoping its muscular strain or something. Any other suggestions would be good! (there is no heat, lumps or bumps, she doesnt react to her ligaments being squeezed, and its not due to her diagonally opposite front leg and she's been "lame" for 2 1/2weeks) we're all really puzzled!
