Lately I've been feeling so unmotivated to ride. I think it's partly down to being busy buying a new house but I feel I'm totally neglecting my boy. It doesn't help that he is rather unmotivated himself and would rather be scoffing his face in the field but that's no excuse really for ne!
How do you all get around remotivating yourselves?
We are fancying having a go at hunting this year and I really need to ride and keep him fit but it just seems so much of an effort at the minute!

moving house is tough, don't be so hard on yourself! Mine got a few weeks holidays when we did it.

Pick a goal and aim for that, even if its a small one like a funride on a certain date.

You just have to set yourself small specific goals; and set aside specific days and times to go down and ride. If you need to you can make yourself a training plan; and if you need any help consult a trainer as to what activities you need to do to keep him fit enough. Definitely look in the horse and rider magazine because they have awesome training drills.

Get a goal and aim for it. You need to push yourself into a riding routine. No excuses. Once in the habit you'll be fine and I bet you never regret it once you are on.

Thanks very much all my goals seem to be for the house just now. Had a good session today in the school, we haven't been in school for ages because we're more happy hackers but it's much better for his fitness and my time at the minute! Will have a look in some of the magazine's that I have around I'm sure they'll be loads of school exercises and goals in them :)
