My old pony has just been abandoned into the top fields of the yard. The fields are out of sight from the rest of the yard and any horses in those fields cannot see/hear any other horses.

My old pony is normally up there with another horse but said horse is coming in now on evenings and sometimes all night and day. This leaves my old pony totally alone where he does his absolute dinger and squeals like crazy.

On several occasions I've told the owners that this happens, not interested. Told Y/O who doesn't give a hoot as the only thought she's thinking is ££££ as she cramming horses onto the yard.

His owners are away so I'm looking after him but I seem to be the only person who gives a toss that he could potentially injure himself and he's getting pretty distressed being on his own.

My horse is in my stable due to injury or else id bring him in but it just breaks my heart that no one really cares for him anymore but me.
Grrrr so angry that I'm the only one that seems bothered!

Rant over. Will check on him later tonight

Not any help to you but I wouldn't stay at a yard where they didn't have a rule stating that nonhorsecwas to be left in a field on its own. Could you speak to the YM to see if the pony could be moved into a more suitable field?

If you are looking after the pony while his owners are on holiday, it is up to you to TELL YO that he needs to be in a field with company. Forget the fact that he used to be yours, that isn't relevant but it is just common sense and good horsemanship that he isn't left on his own. If you can make a suggestion about where he goes tht would help. Does the pony have stable of his own? Or is he on grass livery?
