I thought I might get a bit upset when we left but it all happened so quickly I didn't really get a chance to look back! After about 5 mins Gil loaded into the trailer and was a very good boy! Was a little bit sweaty at the other end (only 30 mins away) but not as bad as I thought he would be. Unloaded him at the new yard and put him straight in his stable to chill out with a net. We left him to it while we moved the rest of his things onto the yard and everytime we started to walk away from him he started whinnying (sp?) like there was no tomorrow! Unfortunately I think we chose a busy night to move on as there was a lot going on (horses being bathed, farrier, general people milling about) which didnt help I dont think but heyho tis life. He is used to a quiet block of 4 where he can see all 3 of his mates and the occasional horse go past but the new yard is like a courtyard so he can see everyone and everything! Im sure he will settle down in a day or 2 and seemed to be a bit more chilled when we were leaving so fingers crossed it won't be long. Going to see how he is tomorrow and might let him have a few hours in the field. To anybody thinking of moving or moving soon it isn't as bad/scary as you imagine it will be and you'll be fine, just like me!
