So what horsey related thing made you grin today?

Daughter not walking course yesterday because it was the same as the class beforehand........................

......then cocking it up, coming out & saying "oh yea, I didn't go in the other class!!!" :D

Asking the groom where my horse was standing now for him to say 'We moved him into another new paddock because he's learned to open this one too, and we kept finding him in the feed room'.

He used to jump out over the fences and was frequently found in other paddocks or roaming around etc but has now realised he can use the plastic handles to open the electric tape. In the last paddock he broke off the part where it attaches :D The feed room thing is new though!

I moved my yearling to his new field, it was his first time in a trailer on his own and walked straight in, and was a absolute star the other end! and has never met a donkey before that was a bit scary :D But very proud :)

Rutland H20, loved your story about your ewe!
Mine was my cob girl coming over to me as I poo picked, turning round and presenting me with her huge, hairy, muddy a*se, then turning her head to look at me, lifting a hind leg and nudging her flank, as if to say 'this is where it itches, mum, please scratch'
I did oblige :) then i got the blissful closed eyes and wobbling lips of a horse in heaven :)

Getting on my old semi-retired gelding for 20 mins gentle work in the school, to help stretch my legs down and get my seat more secure, as I'm having a few issues with my young mare. The look on his face was priceless as I was tacking up, a mixture of shock and horror! But he was sooooo good, and even took a relaxed contact at one point, something we battled about for years.
He's such a treasure. :)

The state of one of my horses this morning. Absolutely plastered in mud from head to foot (both sides) with leaves and sticks in his long mane. He was so happy :)

I rode my YO's Horse. Who I used to share. Took her for a long hack and she worked lovely. We trotted the whole entire hack so I am achey today, Haven't ridden in ages!

My Horse threw her headcollar on the floor yesterday morning when she saw my car pull up in the carpark, it's her way of saying "Hurry up mum!" she also fell asleep when I brushed her face.

Our first ever double clear and rosette - yesterday, alright the course was only 80cm, the round wasnt very graceful and there was a fair amount of trotting to set ourselves up correctly but no tanking, no run outs, no jumping the wrong fence backwards, no napping, no rearing, no bucking and no poles down :) and get this.... I have been trying with her for FOUR RUDDY YEARS!!!!!!!

Still smiling!!

Used the tack box as a mounting block and my foot went right through it as I tried to hoist myself up, now the top of the box has a boot shape hole and pony not best pleased with me.

The fact that it is a year today that my horse fractured his leg badly - spent 3 months cross tied at the vet and 6 months on box rest.

The thing that makes me grin is thining about him happily out in the field - something we thought we'd never see - munching on lush grass and playing with his best friend.

He's been worth every ££and every minute of hard slog at 6am before work and again after.
