Just interested really in the perspective of others ? Have had the same sort of feeding habits for years, so how would you feed these two beasties ?
12 year old Belgian warm blood, up to now been a good doer, chunky build 15.3, can be lazy to ride but spooky too and spins fast when the mood takes him! Mainly done low level dressage and jumping up to 2'9. Had a colic op 7 months ago, started back into work in Dec, has lost condition, muscle tone, and we now have evidence that he has ribs! Currently on small fields with hardly any grazing, but does get ad lib hay.
Next one is 16.1, 5 year old Belgian warm blood, only had 6 months. Plan is for him to show jump. Is very forward, but not really silly with it. Can lack attention ( I know he is 5 !). Is usually worked 6 days a week mix of lunge, school, jump, hacking. Is physically quite immature still, not filled out in all the right places yet. Is on same turnout and grazing as the other .
