Been browsing catalogues, mooching and wondering what is on my Need List and wondering what is on my I Just Want It List :D

I'm actually thinking that, at the moment, we don't neeeeeeed anything....

Bizarre feeling and one that I'm sure won't last ;) :D

Nothing on the need list other than a Rambo Duo for winter. Poor G only owns a rain sheet and he isn't going to manage in that all year.

Shopping desires are currently being dampened by the realisation that I need to move yards :(

I want some new block type jump wings and a full time groom... Oh and poison for some pesky pigeons. I need a GP saddle if I'm ever going to jump more than 6 inches...

Why you moving?

Surface is far too deep. I've asked for a meeting with YO to discuss it but I don't think they'll invest the money it would take to bring it up to the standard I'd be happy with.

I love my yard, its amazing, its cheap, and only 4min drive from home. I have made the best friends there and we support each other through thick and thin but I can't stay if the surface is going to make G lame :(

Apologies for going off-topic. Useful post, reminded me I need to buy rat poison tomorrow!

Oh man my list is huuuuge!
need: masterclip small clippers, For Dancer's gp saddle to be sorted, Rowan's dressage saddle to be made and arrive!, some show jumps, heavy weight turnout for Rowan, Lightweight turnout for Rowan, Possibly some snuggly hood turnout things. A car to replace the one I totaled on thursday which im picking up 2moro!

Would like: The new autumn/ winter anky saddle cloth and matching bandage set of jade green!!! (I sneaked a look at the new colours in local saddlery heehee).

And there I was thinking maybe people would want some new rugs, or maybe a matchy matchy set:cool:

So far - horses, lorries, new yard or at least a new surface...

As to surface, the yard probably not so cheap if they have to invest in a new surface :o

want or need

need nothing really, as you say it is an odd feeling

want

get lorry on the road or a new one (lottery win first though)
I will get it on the road for when my ankle is strong enough to travel and compete again

new DR saddle although nothing really wrong with the one I have

As to surface, the yard probably not so cheap if they have to invest in a new surface :o

Cheap isn't the main thing, its just an added bonus. I'd happily pay £20 - £30 a month more for a better surface, we currently have 39 horses at our yard and one 50x30 school so its not inconcievable that they could pay for improvements by putting the livery up a little bit.

Two new rugs for winter - one rain sheet and one medium weight. Already have one of each but plan is to leave horses out as much as possible this winter so need back ups for when the others get soaked. I do love rug shopping but rather limited with choice as not many places do 7'3" rugs!!!

I want my pony to be sound :( He's only been lame for a few days and I'm already going crazy with worry and not much to do with him. He isnt even that lame, its more that he isnt right and hopefully by mid week he will be sorted or we will have a better idea of whats wrong with one option ruled out.
Other than that I want my trailer test and a dressage saddle, a heavy weight stable rug so I dont need to used duvets this year, an elasticated breast plate for xc and a few nice things for competing wouldnt go a miss but are not essential. Oh and just remembered a fly rug that dosent rub his shoulders and a nice thermatex.

Just to keep in the same mind set as others ;) - a horsebox :D

Also a new wheelbarrow as mine is very elderly & wobbly.

A new winter rug (bit heavier than a LW rainsheet) for the small elderly fuzzy, but this is going to be hard to get as she's an odd size.

A couple of tie-rings for the new field shelter, before I get grumpy at forgetting & its winter.

Plain poles & some wings as big Fuzzy needs to learn gridwork (all my jump poles have disintegrated over the years - and I only have 1 pair of usable wings left)

and finally....
Saddlesoap (nearly out of it) :D

So - are you getting the Goodies in, Mrs M? :D

Yup :D just as soon as I win the Lottery :D:D

Cheers missus

Actually, the most pressing thing is a replacement wheelbarrow (Wickes one would suffice) - biggest Fuzzy thinks its a toy when my back is turned & a 15.2 mw irish-bog-loon trying to climb into a wheelbarrow is never going to fit.......:o

Mine is almost beyond being 'customised' :D but I suppose that being over 15 yrs old, its done sterling service....... :D

I would like my lorry to be finished early and to pass my cat c test first time..

Other than that, I would like a new show jacket - got my eye on a lovely grey kingsland one but I can't justify it until I pass my test and start going to shows

Right now, short of a schoolmaster to teach her the ropes a bit more and the money to pay for the competition entries/ lesson fees/ livery/ feed there's nothing I'd want to buy :P :D Oh, a hat silk from Treehouse in her colours made of the silk rather than lycra, as Al's is getting very old!

We don't need anything though... He's kitted out nicely, with boots/ bandages/ saddles/ bridles/ hundreds of rugs and duvets!

Goodies wish list...

A small but brilliant rider to come and back my Exmoor.

A helper to give me hand teaching norty Rose to lift her feet up to be picked out without trying to batter me into the next county.

Oh, and a pair of safety stirrups.

Mrs M, are you bored tonight?

Always wanted a nice dressage saddle. Dont do dressage any more, so huge waste of dosh, but I gather they are very comfortable for hacking.

Have been lusting over a lovely black patent bridle for Mini TX for dressage. She snorts with derison over it, as she is an eventer at heart, and they dont use those things ......... Would look nice though. Perhaps I will buy it and make her use it?

Mountain Horse boots have just died so am now coveting a pair of those Ariats with laces up the sides, plus need some new breeches as most of mine are now too big - some of the Pikeur ones would be nice.

I do feel a shopping trip coming on soon.

Well as you asked, a nice little 5 ton 2 horse lorry.

A dressage saddle, some new rubber reins, some leather chaps that fit properly, some Harry hall jeggings, some haylage nets and a nice stable rug.

Not much really. lol .

Tie rings (thanks for the reminder), a new tail guard in case fat pony gets all dancey while putting a bandage on, a navy jacket instead of my black one, some matchy matchy in aqua, a pearl-embossed browband, new stirrup irons and leathers, new light and grip gloves, colours for next year, one of the fancier Charles Owen skulls with the coloured bit down the middle in silver, and a 4x4, which I have got to the point of actually dreaming about as of last night (pathetic). S*d that, an Oakley :D, please! Don't ask much! ;)

And there's me thinking after the (promising myself) last rug shop today that that was it for now!
