I need a fence mending person to repair my Post and Rails (idiot Old Mare and bruiser Barney in next field have developed a silly biting/rearing/lunging at each other game which is solely designed to trash my fencing :mad:

A new lightweight waterproof rug for Barney as his is in tatters

Oh and a horse that's rideable would be nice instead of these two oafs :D
 
Need:
New pair of long boots, love mine but the zip broke in the middle of a dressage test and it would cost more than it's worth to have new zips put in

Want:
(actually looking into) a new saddle for new boy
 
I don't *need* anything either atm..

Although I would like a new set of buckets, a new set of mucking out tools, new rugs, new grooming kit, clippers, set of show jumps, body protector, riding hat, new stirrup irons, and new leather headcollar..
 
Just reaslised that there is something on my Need List (it's also on my I Want! List :D).

Of my own. I keep borrowing Friend's :D. She's very good and there's never any angst, but I would like my own, just to whip out and polish up every now and then :cool:;):D
 
Need? Hmmm . . . more money? Also, a new pair of overreach boots and 6 new stable mats. And finally, a visit from the physio (which he's getting this week) . . . four weeks of box rest have left him quite stiff behind the saddle and he's starting to push me to the right again.

Want? Well, I'd love a dressage saddle and an Equitrek trailer . . . but other than that, Kal has pretty much everything (spoiled boy). Oh, and more time to spend with my lovely horse during the week would be nice :).

Edited to add: I really do need a new riding hat . . . mine is about 7 years old and not only have I fallen off in it at least 6 times, but Kal has played football with it in his stable!

I'm not convinced there are any real 'need' items here but hey ho :p

New bridle & breastplate as both a bit worn and knacky looky (bridle probs due to Boy rolling in it in the sand arena)
New stable sheet (his bum pokes out the end a bit, but he keeps growing on the sly)
New hat, skull variety, current hat fine, but ya know ;)
PE trio buster rug (got 14 rugs 4 more wouldn't hurt right?)
A 3.5t lorry *dreaming*
A handful of new matching sets of numnahs/boots/fly ears and a couple of nice shiny new browbands

I don't need much, a new lead rope and water bucket is about it.
My want list is for the yo to hurry up and build the school! Plus maybe a new bridle
 
Need: spanner to change the wheel on my barrow (how have I not got one?), some haylage for winter, clipper blades sharpened, time to fix the last few bits of fencing in my field (internal fencing, obviously).

Want: dressage saddle for the highland, a school (tbh I settle for a flat field) and "Mr Perfect" instructor not to move to the other side of the country just when I want him to train me and the pony :(

Oh and 20 acres of my own.

We can always dream :D
 
I 'needed' a new pair of boots as the weather forecast is crap for Blair, so I accidentally may have pressed 'buy' on a pair of HKM country boots this morning oops... On the plus side they're much cheaper than the Ariat ones I liked lol!

I'd like a new bridle and boots for Mr B as well, but they're definitely 'wants' rather than 'needs' so have tucked the credit card away before I can do any more damage...
 
my horse to come sound , a five point breast plate with lots of fluff :) a new pair of mark todd breaches in EVERY colour ! a selection of new numnahs, some paint for my jumps, some expensive bits and to pass my trailer test first time :) oooh and a really nice tweed jacket !
 
Ooohhh a new riding jacket that makes me look tall, elegant and like I know what I am doing !!!! On a more realistic level a new wheelbarrow would be nice
 
New brave pants!

On the 'want/need NOW' list is a new bit and a new GP/jumping saddle (anything that fits him and is forward cut) as I do want to do more jumping with him, but the old dressage saddle only goes so far for my confidence :D YM is buying my current GP so I'm taking him to saddler tomorrow to see if she has anything to fit :)

On the 'thank god my birthday is near the start of winter, everyone look at this' list is: warm gloves
warm boots
Proper riding boots for if the afore mentioned brave pants arrive in time to do some competition.
And since Princess Priscilla the useless yard kitten and Monty Knobberts had a war in which my beloved Dublin corrib coat got caught in the crossfire, a new waterproof coat :rolleyes:

On the 'I can but dream' list:
Trailer or lorry, I'm not fussy
Horse that never even contemplates stopping/spinning on hacks alone
Horse that looks at mud and thinks, 'urgh, no, whyever would I want to roll in that'?! :D
 
Need - a part time job that pays a full time salary so I actually have time to do all the things I want (at the moment a load of jumping lessons to regain the va va voom) and enough money to pay for them.

Oh, and a nice little 5 ton lorry to carry my two big boys comfortable and legally would be nice.
 
Well i need a job but apart from that i would like;
Full neck turnout
Snuggy hood with leapard print :cool:
New saddle (work in progress already)
Brushing boots
Full neck stable rug
Fluffy over reach boots
Premier Equine stable boots

I think thats all i "want" :p My mare has all my last lads old stuff so i think she needs some new things to feel special ;)
 
Well . . . Kal needs some new overreach boots and a m/w stable rug w/ neck (I seem to have misplaced his :(). I need some wellies that don't leak and a new hat (especially since Kali played football with mine in his stable).

Non-horsey wise, my car needs servicing, OH could do with a new car and I promised the girls a TV, another sky box and some beanbags for the family room :).

Firstly,I'd like to say thanks for the thread and all the responses - they made me smile - and I needed that today.

So in the spirit of the post...

Both my boys back to full fitness - I don't care how long it takes as long as they're happy and healthy

Still loving this thread but still needing my boy to come sound. Vet should be coming today so hopefully its nothing major and I will still be ok to go on holiday.
 
Wish list - this exact moment .......

a man with a post rammer to put the replacement fencing posts in - would half the time, save my back and would allow my arms ease up - post ramming is not my idea of a fun afternoon - hence break with large mug of tea !

other than that - a whole new fencing programme with equi-fence - amazing permanent electric fencing - had quote - nearly 12K to do paddocks ...

hey ho ... back to post ramming !
