Im off on Saturday with daughter for x country day. Had not been until last year but daughter is at uni in York so nearby and we had a great day. Any one else.... ?

I won a pair of 4 day tickets to go courtesy of Horse Health but sadly due to a family member being ill I can't go :(
I've asked Horse Health to redraw them so hopefully someone else will be able to enjoy them. Have fun those who are going.

Me, all 4 days, treated myself to members tickets with Christmas money, 2 days for dressage with commentary and shelter so weather not an issue :)

That's a shame Eventing Mum.

I'm in America now, flying back overnight, driving up from Heathrow, swopping my car and case for hubby's car and caravan, ditching the uniform for jeans and heading straight off for Bramham to camp on Tuesday eve. So we can have a chilled day and a nice walk before the trot up on weds. I love it there.

If you see someone with two labs looking jet lagged that will be me.

YorksG and I will be there on Thursday, with 2 Rottweilers. Bramham was their first outing 2 yrs ago, as soon as they could go out after vaccinations and they love it. Thursday is a great day to take them, as it is fairly quiet.
Weather forecast for Thursday is good but I'm sorry to say that it sounds as if Saturday will be wet.

Saturday is the best day for rain, if there has to be one, as at least you're moving about more.

I will look out for you/pm you a mobile no.

Oh, that's good to hear, I'm using Thursday (and potentially Friday if he's good) as 'introducing the dog to horsey events'! So if you see someone with a slightly overexcited, very friendly medium crossbreed, that'll be us ;)

Going to XC on Saturday with Vallin, so expect lots of lovely pics from her in CR :)

I'm going too. Can't wait. I go on Friday night, do a bit of shopping and watch the trot up then stay at a hotel so we can get a nice early start.

Fingers crossed the forecast improves, it's nit looking good gorgeous Friday and Saturday.

I'm going on Saturday, praying for better weather then last year! Although I'm really looking forwards to it anyway as its one of my favourite horsey events.

Friday and Saturday and the weather forecast seems to have improved! Last year was so soggy.

I was disappointed with the H&H Bramham preview - half a page of copy. It's the only major event I can get to because of time and cost and I bought a copy this week hoping for lots of news on the course etc. Hey ho, am sure it will be grand!

So long as the weather isn't awful, me and leflynn will be heading down on the Saturday. Fingers crossed for sun!

Moleskinmum - if you're on Facebook the Bramham Horse Trials page has lots of news and photos being posted in the run up :)

Oh no- the weather forecast for Saturday just got worse :-( can we all do a sun dance or something to cheer it up?

I'm going for the first time, on Saturday. What do I need to know as a first-timer? What time should I aim to get there? Any helpful tips very welcome!

I would get there as early as you can as queues for the parking tend to form and get quite long. Food is quite expensive so pack sandwiches to save money. Going by the weather forecast umbrellas and wellies are a must :-(. take something to sit on too as there are a few nice viewing spots for the x country where you can sit on the ground. The hill near the water complex is a good spot. Have fun!

Thanks Kinnygirl, that is just the sort of pointers I was after. Just need to break it to my teenagers that it is an early start Saturday morning :)

Everyone keep doing the sun dance! Just checked forecast again and it's bright for Friday and only raining half the day Saturday. It must be working!

GRRRR yesterdays bbc weather said no rain ,todays bbc weather says rain all day from 10am ,lets hope it changes again before saturday . still going bought the tickets and its to good to miss even if its raining.

Charlimouse we are fence judging too, give us a wave at the briefing!

Going down Thursday afternoon to walk the course, catch some dressage, do some shopping and then go the fence judge briefing in the evening.

Going tomorrow and camping for whole event. First time as usually just camp for weekend. Can't wait even if weather is bad. Love Bramham.
