I did....I saw it blowing a gale out and radio announcing gale force winds...so naturally thought 'OH yes...I know the perfect thing to do....'

Tie bags to the coblet and take him out round the roads. ;)

And surprise Mum again as I'd forgot my other phone so dropped in to say hello....

Anyone else go out today and make the most of it? Minus the winds and snow this afternoon....was a lovely morning!

We had gales, thunder and lightening last night and awoke to snow on the ground this morning. Was a snow blizzard as I was trying to fill my hay nets this lunchtime so no had all on standing let alone riding. My 2 think they've been retired!

Aw no!!! Where abouts are you?!? We had about 2 hours of snow, then it all went, touch wood.

well it was quite cold but not windy here in the swansea valley so i had a lovely ride along the river and through the woods ,it tried to hail and sleet for about 5 mins but apart from that it was cold and clear:)

We took my sisters rising 4yo out on sunday in the gales, he didn't care one bit, and had his first canter on the only suitably dry piece of ground we found. Forecast says no rain for the next 5 days, hope its true, I am truly sick of rain, muddy boots, getting splashed, muddy dogs, muddy tails - everything! :(

We've had snow, snow and more snow today! We had an awful blizzard early this morning and then another one at about lunch time that lasted around 1 1/2 hours . There were cars being abandoned all over the shop, it was a challenge just getting to the farm never mind riding!

Lovely!!! As it's only baby coblet now, I have no riding myself...so just lots of walking and jogging!

Oh dear Devon!! Lol. How has she settled in other than that?

Clever baby! :D Agreed on the mud front too!

Am in Cheshire. Was blowing a hooley today. Took pony in school to lunge and was suddenly in the middle of an actual blizzard. Poor pony was made to work even harder, to keep her warm. We woz hardcore! Abandoned the plan to ride out afterwards though. Am not that hardcore!

We went out! Was lovely and sunny! Was very cold and a little windy though but not too bad at all. Came across a tractor cutting a hedge that we were on the other side of tough and my mare went crazy! Had our first rearing session since buying her and I have to say I am very proud of myself, not only did I sit it well but I didn't let it knock my confidence either, I know it was just a simple 'she got bloody scared' moment and I can handle it! Major break through on my part! Haha!

Very chilled, and loving the turnout and grub! Was a lot to expect her to be quiet on her own in a blizzard with people felling trees and cement lorries near by, when I say she was spooky, she was just herding with me, leaning on me as we walked and looking a bit wide eyed, dear thing didn't hesitate tho, she marched on looking like an emu! Think she's going to be gutsy! X

Gosh yes it was windy hey? I had a bit of a breakthrough today. I don normally ride in wind but I must have progressed in confidence lately because not only did I ride my beautiful Arab out bareback, we do bitless too which she goes well in, but I rode my friends nervous dartmoor and her tb who both haven't been out by themselves for a while. We had a few stops and things but it went really well and I'm pleased we did it. Was such a bitter win though! Gosh! I was bitten to the core!

I took my youngster out for a hack. Decided to go for a fast canter in an open field while it was blowing a gale so turned more into a gallop lol :p

We took ours out yesterday in a howling gale She has only been ridden for 6 months She was a superstar she was leading the older horses over bridges, passed flapping tarpaulins, passed the windmill, through the stream and passed the crow scarer she never flinched once bless her she really is a great family pony

Me and daughter went out yesterday in the wind, riding a 21yo cob who was a proper numpty and a 4yo New Forest who was steady as a rock! Today was swirling vile snow, no way José!

Took my chap hunting today - not only wind but snow blizzards too!

Had a lovely time but was very glad to get back to the lorry....

Not sure which forecast you saw. The one I saw threatened snow again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Fingers crossed that's wrong!

We had about 15 mins of snow this morning about 7am Took great pleasure being 1st in the paddock leaving a trail of hoof prints , only lasted about 20 mins in there as muchos windy same this evening when attempted to long rein, turned into a sort of controlled hooley. Better luck tomorrow as winds only a mere 30 to40 mph.

I took my 6yr old out in gale force winds which halfway round turned into blizzard and hailstorm, she popped herself into trot, I couldn't see a damned thing at all and she took me home in a lovely trot safe and sound if a bit wet and cold. Safe to say I love her millions and she got extra parsnips in her tea. Bearing in mind she had reared twice on this hack before the extreme weather, I think she knew mother needed help in the vision department to get home, little star :)
