so whos 4x4s have shone in the snow and ice!

I sold my Freelander last year and bought a much newer and much nicer Rav 4....whilst that is lovely 95% of the time, it doesn't come near old Frieda in the snow! They may not be the gutsiest of 4x4s but I didn't have a moment's panic in last year's snow, and she was a pleasure to drive! The Rav hasn't been bad but it doesn't inspire the same confidence!

Our Disco has been doing great lol

My (2WD) nissan quashqai has been rubbish!! On our yard the disco, freelander and nissan navara have all been fine but the winner was the old K reg Isuzu trooper, they have been towing delivery vans up the 1 in 5 hill on the road to the yard! But equally entertaining was my OH's Mazda 6 MPS as it looks like a sports car but has 4WD so has trundled happily past many stuck cars and has been great.

My Yaris has been ace - no laughing! It's got me to the horses & work, we got stuck a couple of times but it is soo light my husband was able to just push it free and off we go again...I guess it's bit like an oversized go kart!

I love my jeep cherokee!
It has gone where cars fear to tread. It is my transport, my tractor and my horse feed and water transporter.

My Jeep has a name, its Fluff because of part of her number plate - FLF

My Jeep Grand Cherokee has been unstoppable in the snow, it even went up a really steep hill that the yard managers tractor couldn't even get up!!

I love it

Loving my freelander! I've not had a wobble yet! Remember having a Corsa a few years ago in similar conditions in Birmingham and being utterly terrified as I slid all over the road! No such worries now and I'm driving round as normal, when lots of other people are stuck at home! Think I'm one of the only ones who have managed to get out of the development I live on the last few days! Only downside being that I'm the only one who can't get away with a snow day off work and I live the furthest away from the office!

My little 3dr Suzuki Vitara has been brilliant, lane to the horses is like an ice ring on a hill side and it just pootled up and down it, nearly as good as OH 3dr Nissan Terrano, that has been brilliant too......

OH's 4x4 Volvo has been very poor. In fact so bad it is going in to make sure the AWD and traction control are actually working.

My newish Disco has been fabulous. Particularly like the fuel burning heater that kicks in when the temp drops below 4 degrees. It burns diesel to warm the car up very quickly. Allied to all round heated seats, heated windscreen etc it is a very comfortable place to be. Not to mention unstoppable with the snow programme switched on.
