Just looking at options to advertise a PC/jumping pony. Needs a competent home. I've been recommended the PC website but just wondered if anyone had any experience? How long did it take to sell? Any top tips for the advert?

Fresh strawberries on offer for your trouble ;) :D

Didn't sell, but advertised a pony to loan over the PC website. Had quite a lot of responses and very soon found a good home for him. Would recommend it

I have sold several, one the day after the ad went on to the first very excited people to phone within minutes of me putting it on.
I think I have sold all the ones I have put on, they had all done PC activities and ranged from lead reins to expensive competition ponies.

It is in my view the best site for allrounder ponies, you usually get a fair response, still the odd email with numerous questions that takes ages to fill in then you hear no more but most are genuinely looking to buy, now is a good time its half term soon.

I sold one to the perfect home through the PC website.

He was a proper PC pony- hunted, polo, evented up to 2.9ft (13.2hh welsh type), you know the type. Had him on horse quest and had all the wrong people- people looking for a potential JA, showing pony etc. etc. not that he was advertised as that!!

Still in touch 5 years on and I don't think I could have found a better home, he's been sold on now but to yet another perfect home and he is living out his days as a hunting and polo pony teaching everyone the ropes. Could also check them with their DC.

I sold my Section D via Pony Club website. He was not straightforward and I was fed up with total numpties turning up from other adverts, or asking me to loan him out - he was sold to a hunting home a few days after the PC advert went up to a pony club mum. It is very reasonable to advertise on there and I definately would again.

I've bought from it. It would always be my first port of call - and actually to date my only port of call! I've also got a sharer for my welshie through it.

If you have a PC type pony - especially if you have a PC record which can be checked then it is probably the best place to sell. We bought my daughter's first PC Pony through it and we've just bought a grade C showjumper through it. The people selling our new SJ had advertised on a number of well known sites without any takers. He had sold (to us!) within a day of going on the PC Site.

We sold my daughters pony from there. Put her on at 1pm and had 8 enquiries by dinner time sold to the first person to try her will definitely use it again.

Haven't sold but the people we are getting our pony from are buying their new one advertised on the local pc website. They were members of the pc as well though
