Soaked Oat diet - oats in droppings?

Last time I fed this diet, I do not remember seeing oats coming out the other end - it's making poo picking a NIGHTMARE, as the birds (mainly phesants) are scattering it EVERYWHERE!!! Whilst this may be a good thing, as they may well be eating any worms (they may not be too of course), it is also very annoying that the feed is obviously not being digested. I soak them for 24 hours - do you think I should soak for longer?
 
I was always told, basically, that if what goes in one end, comes out undigested, it's due to their teeth and not chewing it properly

So perhaps have the horse's teeth checked?

Mind you it could be like us eating too quickly and not chewing it properly ... even more

P.S Have you only just changed them over to the soaked oat diet? can take a good while for them to develope the right enzymes etc?
