Soaking hay a day early

So, I have now turned around and the pony will be in during the day. I am soaking hay to aid weight management. How can I go about soaking hay for the next morning though? I usually soak around 5-6 hours each da6 for when stabled at night. Tips.

Soak and rinse thoroughly, then tie to dry in the shade or somewhere cool. Remember in hot weather it stagnates so I would even cut the soaking time especially if it's soaked in direct sunlight.
