I normally feed haylage in the winter and hay in the spring but with all the laminitis around at the moment in horses/ponies that have never had it before, I'm becoming increasingly concerned about sugar levels.
I still have the rest of the winter's supply of haylage and hay is really hard to get at the moment, would soaking make it safer to feed? Has anyone done this?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
