Soaking SS grass pellets??

I'm a bit confused?!

The advice I got from SS was that the blue bag grass pellets could go in a snack a ball so I didn't think they'd have to be soaked yet on the bag and the website it says a soaking time of 2-24 hours. Can anyone shed any light, if you feed what do you do?

If you put them in a feed ball they only dribble out - so the horse can't pig out on them and get choke. If you feed a bucket of them dry greedy horses will grab a mouthfull - the same with any pellet feed, and risk choke.

I think they are ok if you only give a few in a snackball but you need to soak larger amounts

Ok thank you, I'm feeding them (2-3 cupfuls) with luciebix and purabeet so not worried about choke with him. Just wanted to check I hadn't misunderstood somewhere along the line!

I feed 2 scoops with my other SS stuff and no problems.
