Socially erm... broken?

Whatever training you are doing I'd hurry up cos according to the other thread your dog is the most evil thing on the earth and you are an appauling owner for allowing it to behave in such a manner!! :D

Huh? What other thread? Bryony's not evil :(

I would not think people would think Bryony evil nor u ignorant because you long line her and don't allow her gallivanting up to other dogs:rolleyes:

I think she has had very little socialising and free play because like many bull breed types before they end up in rescue rarely get the chance, they are a boisterous and head strong breed so a first meet at 6 months when never clapping eyes on a dog except from on the lead when passing or in the distance sees them looking rather loopy and ott:D, this in turn frightens not so confident handlers and they isolate the dog more till the socialising becomes non existent and the dog becomes very out of touch and does not know how to react with other dogs.
The rescue then "dog test" her and see what looks like a wild pony wanting to buck a rooey and fling them selves around in a full on fashion:D they then "stamp" her (dog aggressive) and rehome her this way:rolleyes:
She needs good recall first, one on one sessions, u the longline and lots of goodies to come back for.
Then she needs to meet some dogs that will A, partly ignore her B, interact and play C, tell her off (that part does not need to be avoided), she needs to learn all lessons/experience real varied contact and interact dogy stylee (not literally);)
She needs it frequently so every meet is not a once six monthly "oh there one of those things that looks like me and tye" ya hooooooooooo.:D
If she is very ott, it will not hurt in the slightest to get guidance from you (be it a reprimand) if need to "calm it".
I am still working on them poss coming here for ya hols, it does not look great, just have to oraganise more thn me:( but in the mean time check out some training classes (god ones) and work on the lead control and recall. (with the positive association) as suggested.

"Pweease let us come and stayz wif you aunty Cayla, we'z only lickle and vewy goods at behavezin :D"

Your OP reads EXACTLY like Dex's behaviour to other dogs...... will do anything in his power to reach the other dog... makes all the noise, drags kicking and screaming, and then is just SO over excited does not listen to the other dogs, NO's.

Our trainer has said we will do exactly what Cayla has just said, with Dex muzzled, and not on a long line (he has issues with them and spends the entire time trying to grab it!!!!)

Did RR tell you he was dog agressive too?

No actually..... just that he need manners when meeting them..... he was fine out walking with their other dogs.... as he is now, it is just a case of massive over excitement if he can not get to the dog!!
