Sockgate: “What has the vet found in my stomach today?”

When my big dog was young, I used to take her to my friends to play with their young GSD. One day my friends Nan remarked that she couldn’t find her handkerchief...
The next day I picked a lovely blue floral handkerchief out of my dogs poop!

My first dog had a cubed inch sized flint stone removed from his stomach I found it when I was clearing my parents house what do you do with things like that ?

jack russell as a puppy ate a tube of superglue over night, woke up in the morning her mouth was half glued shut with the tube of glue glued to her face, straight to vets who were worried she may have glued her insides together, from memory they made her sick but that was all, she is now 13 and no worse for it
 So pleased she’s OK!

Tiva had to have the appo jab after I thought she had eaten large used baby wipes. I was walking both dogs on the local rec in the pouring rain and doing some whistle stop training. The rev is used for football training and has a skate park on it. This day it was rain and wind so a lot of rubbish around. Puppy picked up the baby wipe so I whistled stop which she did and made her drop the wipe. I went up to reward her but when I turned round the baby wipe was gone and Tiva was licking her lips. Contacted the vet and decided to be cautious (crufts only 4days away) I took her for the appo jab.
No sign of baby wipe but vet nurse did comment that she has never seen a dog try to vomit and eat vomit at the same time before.
Never did find the baby wipe
