And he's now my new favorite pony!!!!
Poor little chap hasn't had alot in the way of training shows, as he kinda gets ignored as we're busy with the other.
Anyway, shove him on the lorry and take him to Stockland Lovell for his first ODE event, and first BE intro.
Shove tack on and make way down to dressage arean.. walk, trot, canter about a bit, and make way over to arena, walk, trot and canter around a bit in the arean for a mark of 34, which left him in about 10th ish after dressage
Over to the SJing, (he hasn't jumped a round of SJs since Nov.).. anyway, he jumped a jolly sweet round, but had two down, both through being green.
Onto the XC.. went into the start box without a clue as to what was going on, jumped out and suddenly thought he might be an event horse, jumped 1, 2, 3, and 4, and then thought he might be tired and that we really ought to be pulling up soon ish (like we have been schooling, ie 3 or 4 fences before stoping).. first water he promised me he wasn't even thinking of stoping, but that he'd like to walk through it, so we did, and walk up the step out of it!! i'm sure everyone was laughing at us.. while walking through the water he must of got his second wind, as he was then an event horse again, and stormed round the rest of it like an old pro, apart from nearly losing me at the rail over ditch, when he spied the ditch under it, got bottom smacked, and off again.
Aged 5 i find him such an old pro, he just gets on with life and whatever life chucks at him!!
So he got a 34.something dressage, 2 down SJing and clear XC with 8 time faults.. and finished up 10th
