Sock's Charlton Park, PN report.

We arived late as spend 1hr parked up on the M5 in traffic! thankfully i'd left 30min extra, and Socks doesn't need that much riding in, the steward let a 2 in before me, and all was good...

Dressage..I thought he did a sweet test, the first half being better than the second where he started to wobble a bit, but we got several 8's

.. the judges comments at the end were "sweet horse who tries hard to please, lovely test"

we got a 31.9

SJing.. nothing really exciting to say here, he didn't jump as well as he can do, but only had the one down, which was prob my fault anyway..

XC.. he has been having a few problems with the XC, at a different kind of fence each time, but today he was on flying form, i think he's finally worked out what it's all about

There were a couple of tricky combinations which were causing their fair share of trouble.. and off-set double of bright white houses was the only thing he really looked at.. the last combination on the course, a log to a skinny log was also causing a bit of trouble, but the comentator said we were "textbook" through there

So a clear round with-in the time

Finished up 10th

And i hear is the last ever Charlton Park.. I'm VERY sad to hear this!! as it's one of my fav. events!!!! does anyone know why they are stoping????

What a good day,,,he sounds like a star...if I was a good rider I'd be searching for my cheque book! He's probably a bit young to retire to a happy hacker :- )
