My girlie just cannot cope with going forward on the right rein! Unless jumping! Having gone from refusing to go forward by backing up at me, she now wants to canter everytime i ask for more activity! Yep another evasion but possibly a more forward thinking one! (She has SI so we have to live with the problem and find ways to deal with it and enjoy life!) Hence I am not asking advice to solve the problem.
Have done some more jumping today and jumped a proper jump! It was 2'6!!! Please feel free to be in awe!!!!
(to be fair she has not got enough impulsion to do bigger...yet) No canter pole and she met it perfectly second time...ok the first time she demolished it and stoppped immediately (mum Ive knocked it down...you get off now and i get a rest...) She really enjoys her jumping, although she is never going to be a superstar but maybe i just need to do more of it to give her more zest for life!
Just HATE showjumping!!!!! All that waiting around!!!!
But we both enjoyed it!
And it helped to take my mind off mum who was telling me just yesterday about the major international conspiracy going on at Basingstoke hospital!
(Apologies to anyone who is not up to date but mum is in the High dependency unit and hallucinating somewhat!)
ETA Dont think we are quite ready to post in competition riders yet....
