went to catch the little one today for flu & tet jabs and she wouldn't catch! spent ages trying to get her and couldn't get her (normally an angel)
got the other one i needed out the field
went back to try again, couldn't get her
Put other horse out after vet and caught her straight away!

I had that once with a previous horse, only problem was it wasnt the vet that wanted to see him but the equivalent of the RSPCA cause a complaint had been made cause horse was thin (must point out he was under the vet at the time).

Anyway had phone call from police saying they were coming with GSPCA and wanted to see said horse but I was not to go to him until they got here. When they got here (couldnt believe they bought police dogs as well) went to see horse and cause he was nervous of strangers he wouldnt be caught, which made policeman smile thinking I was abusing my horse. I told them that if they left horse would allow me to catch him, policeman didnt believe me and was being rather nasty.

Thankfully my mother had some sense and said to them well we have 2 other horses do you want to see them, which they did. And as predicted as soon as thin horse could not see them he came straight up to me for a cuddle, so put halter on and took him down to stable. After a bit of disagreements with policeman telling me he was going to get my horse taken away from me and me say like hell he was, states vet finally arrived and checked everything and informed authorities that horse was under veterinary care. Really would have liked an apology from policeman but it never came.

But yeh they do have a tendancy of running off just when you need them, but we do love them, well 99% if the time.
