For god's sake my computer just deleted the WHOLE report as I was clicking "post" gah.
Ok well a 31 dressage, not overly deserving - nice test but he didn't like the downhill slope and unfortunately both our medium trots were on this slope! however near the top after dressage which is always nice
Onto SJ - lucy Thompson was on hand to give me some advice (thank you so much L) and she helped with my PMA. Went into the ring feeling positive. I rode well and didn't hook but I went a bit too collected into number 3 which was a long 2 strided double. Z thought I was going to hook for a 3rd (can't blame him with the way Ive been riding recently) and then sort of went to take off, but didnt...Cue vid

However got back on and as you can see, that would have been a clear round - how gutting. He is going so well but I just need a seatbelt.
I honestly thought he was going to somersault hence my quick exit (some survival instinct?!) and I was lucky that wasn't more of an accident.
Onto XC. I didn't want to go at all. I felt so guilty for how I have been riding him recently and I just wasn't in the mood. But it was a nice course and probably one of the toughest he has seen so I wanted him to do it.
He was perfect over first few fences :

Number 8 was an innocuous ditch palisade, however I didn't see a stride coming into it - didn't kick and he slid into the ditch. Popped over alternative and carried on - never had a problem before so it was just me...again.
Classy through the first water (which I thought was tough)

And then in the quarry/coffin (rolltop to a ditch to a barrells with the barells separately numbered) he saw the ditch at the last moment, went to put down and ended up with feet either side of the fence. He popped himself over and then we popped the ditch but I circled before the barrels - was that dangerous riding or not? He was only on the fence for about 2 seconds and had it been ANY longer I would have gotten off pronto but it was so quick he launched himself. (clever pone)
Anyway onto the last few fences, I was riding like a wally (still, a bit shaken me thinks) but he was mega - did I really need to attack so much into the last water?! No! Love him..

So if my computer doesn't delete this then I am off to bed. Yes ok my record is now looking a bit shocking but I have now had my 3 falls and hopefully no more!
p.s. where is all my good karma from helping out at events recently?!
