Hello
My mare has a soft lump on the outside of her hind leg (golfball sized). Its above the feltlock joint and below the shank.
She doesnt appear to be lame or in pain when i touch it.
I hosed it for about 10mins today and then put her in her stable but i cant work out what it could be.
I looked to see if there was a seed or bite mark but couldnt detect anything.
It also looks swollen on the inside of her leg but not noticable.
Any suggestions on what it could be and what i should do?? Turn out tomorrow/bandage/hose/dont hose/box rest.......
Today she was turned out with another mare (not shod). So she could have been kicked in the field but would that cause a golfball sized lump.
Many Thanks
