Please can I have your recommendations for soft shell breeches. My criteria are a reasonably high waist, super stretchy and good sizing for chunkier legs (unfortunately i bear no resemblance to the tall slim European models in most of the adverts!) I'm a size 14 on bottom but have big calves and a big bum!

I really like the Pikeur Lugana winter weight softshell. I tried the Hy softshell breeches but they were a thinner material and too big for me. I am a size 10

Mine aren't the waterproof ones op, though my son has them. Mine are same material as the musto snug jodhs. Thick and warm with fleecy inside..

The Decathlon ones are very shiny (esp if you get them in black... cream ones aren't so bad) but they do the job and are warm

I'm a big fan of Noble Outfitters, everything I've bought is designed just right - simple, but do the job perfectly, quality, not too expensive. Not tried the warm breeches, they will be next on my shopping list along with some of the socks!
