Soft Touch?

Do you think that people in other countries see us in Britain as being 'soft touches' where animals are concerned? We do have a reputation for being 'animal lovers'
The reason I ask is because almost every Forum Board (Equine) that I have viewed has had someone/some group post to ask for help rescuing or funding rescued animals in their country.
I run two (small) equestrian Forum Boards and recently both have had people register and immediately post wanting money to help fund them. We have had it on here.
What are your views on this?

But yes, definately too soft at times

I think they do yes! and I don't like people guilt-tripping me into giving my hard earned cash..

They make good money out of us dont they!!

Bugs me a bit because there are enough horses in this country already that need 'rescuing'!!
