Does anyone on here use software to help run your livery yard or riding school or similar? I am trying to find out what is available and how good it is. Not sure if I will get any replies to this as it is rather a "specialised" question but it's worth a try anyway!

I doubt if there is any software specifically for a Livery Yard....I would expect that there will be other software used in small business that you would adapt to suit your needs. Additionally I would think you'd use Excell for some of your information.

Sit down & work out exactly what you need to computerise & then approach a business software company & I expect they will be able to put a package togethet to suit your needs...Good Luck

I'm not really sure what sort of software you'd actually want for running a livery/riding school? Surely Excel or Sage for the accounts and maybe Access for a client database?

Thanks both. I have definitely seen some software being used but I can't remember what it was called. From what I remember it was being used to record lessondetais e.g. clients' names, horses used etc. - all the sort of stuff that you would write in the client book in the olden days!

I bought some a few years back for a livery yard - its RRP was £120 i think - i got it in a sale at no-where near that cost - verdict - waste of money!
i'll try and dig it out and tell you what it was called - i just use excel for keeping track of things.
