So this is where we normally go for walks in the week -this is how it has looked for the last few weeks:

This is what the field before you get there looked like today - amazingly enough, we didn't get quite as far as normal:eek:

So we went to see how wet it was getting down by the river - answer, really fairly wet...

The ground was so saturated that even where it was above the river level (just!) there were little springs forming:

Even with these on it wasn't a great idea to stand still too long!

We've had quite a lot of rain recently - the snow went a few weeks ago, but that bit of ground has always been prone to flooding. The field shelter in the picture is disused because of it, the field is always empty now.:)
 
It is like that on the meadows where I walk the dogs at the moment! There are two areas of the meadows that are not flooded but, I reckon if it rains tomorrow like it is supposed to that will be flooded too!! Can't really complain, it floods like this a few times of the year, if it didn't it probably would have been built on by now as it is 5 mins from the town centre!
