The horses have just stamped all over my fence unit while I was charging the battery, now thinking solar unit thoughts...can anyone share their experiences and recommendations or otherwise? Thanks

We have two from fearing international and pleased with them not cheap but do a long way. They are based at brixworth northants.

Not cheap but mine are worth their weight in gold.

They work all the time, no fears of the battery dying or the power going off in an outage, another great thing about them is that you can just lift and shift, all my paddocks have posts for energisers, I move them where they are needed, no lugging stupidly heavy batteries about anymore.

I started off with one, I now have 8 of them, I should be getting commission because at least 4 friends now also have them on my say-so.

Great thank you. I have an account with Fearing so will take a look. I am pretty sick of lugging batteries around. Cheers.

Don't store them any way other than upright though as my mum accidentally buggered mine up..

My welsh A will not be contained by leccy fencing but IME the solar units are very, very good..

Yep, I've got one of the Wolseley ones and it's been brilliant. I phoned the company before buying it to discuss which one would be best for my needs and was AMAZED to hear the cheaper one would be best as I only have a short (under 1km) amount of fence to run. Very helpful company and chuffed to bits with the fencer.

We are running lighting and a fence energiser off 2 x 135aH batteries charged by solar power, it has been absolutely brilliant. We did have to stagger home with the batteries to recharge them a month ago because Mr Nobody left the lights on all day and there wasn't enough sun to charge them up, other than that it has been the best thing EVER.

I am really really impressed and would thoroughly recommend. My hubby sorted it all out for me, the panels came from Ebay.
