Can anybody recommend a solar panel for electric fencing?

I know sweet f/a about solar panels. Are the Amazon ones alright? The battery we use next door (it’s huge, like a boat/leisure battery?!) has recently been going flat. I haven’t had to charge it for a year up until now - so I’m thinking that the solar panel thing on top isn’t doing it’s job anymore! Apparently the previous DIY lady got it from amazon.
I’ve checked the fencing itself multiple times but can’t see any issues otherwise!
tia!

I got one of the cheap ebay ones. 15watt I think and about tenner. Its totally fine and has lasted all year, including being kicked around by horses twice! But check its not a battery issue. They do have a limited life span of a few years sadly.

Funnily enough I did change the clips on the solar panel as they had perished - so maybe the clips I bought were just sh*te!
I’m pretty sure the battery is all good. It gave me a fair whack the other day ?
Thanks! I’ll have a scan on eBay

I need this information too Rosietaz
Hope it’s OK to ask this.

You know you have to have a charge controller in between the panel and the battery?

Are these always 2 separate items or sometimes one unit?
I would be grateful for suggestions of any of both sorts that seem reliable.
Thanks

So I've bought them separately, both from ebay i think off the top of my head. My yard lighting is run off solar with two leisure batteries, via a charge controller obviously, and one for a home made solar charged electric fence unit (honestly it works out about the same as buying one already made)

You might need to research the 'size' of charge controller because i cant remember if they are all the same or not!

No you dont. Its fine for keeping a leisure battery topped up to attach it directly.
