Solar Powered Lights

Have seen some on ebay and wondered has anyone used them in their stables and if they are any good. Thanks

We saw a solar powered light salesman at Dorchester SHow this summer and believed him when he said that the lights would light a stable no worries and we bought quite a few. Well... what a load of b*llocks that was!! They are about as effective as... well nothing!!

I really wouldn't bother. Get electric EVERYTIME!!!

Yes, I agree with the above post. I also bought one - only about £20 but from major retailer. assured that it would work. Honestly a match gives off more light. Really disappointing.

Thanks thats saved me a few bob then! Guess what OH will be doing in His time off over Christmas....... wiring stables.
Its such a good idea though you would have thought the manufacturers would have got it together and made decent ones.

We bought a solar lantern for outside our back door thought it was a great idea, hassle free light, but it is rubbish! I may as well use a torch! Don't waste your money

I use a headlamp its brilliant! I have no electricity and no chance of having any so headlamp does the job!
