I'd like to put some solar lights in my pony's field shelter. Does anyone know of a make that has an on/off facility so they can be turned off over night? Most of the brands I've seen are triggered by movement which I don't want

I don’t know of any that have an on off facility, however for ours we used something similar to these:

My dad wired them into a switch inside our storage, then the switch is connected to a solar panel & controller like this:

With a leisure battery connected to the controller. It works fabulously. I think we have 8 lights in total and the battery stays topped up through winter. Can also plug in usb cables to charge phones/head torches too! Apparently not complicated to do but I know nothing about electrics!

Thanks. I'll have a look.

I have some solar ones for my stables and you turn them on/off by a switch on the box or an individual switch for each light. They are really good you would say theyre run on a mains! I will find out the make and link them. They were fairly cheap x

Thank you. That would be great. I don't want ones that run on a sensor as it will disturb my pony and the human neighbours!
