Hi There,

We are putting in a solarium but I would rather go for wall mounted as opposed to suspended as it will be in an American barn and there really isn't anything to hang it from.

Has anyone any experience of the Sunswitch system by any chance?

Is it effective?
How cost efficient.

Open to other ideas if anyone has anything to offer :)

Build your own!!!

I have sunswitch lamps, really pleased with them, had them for a good few years now, lovely and warm and dry horses very quickly. Too warm for them now! I was trying to find a photo but dont seem to have one. Cant really comment on running costs, I dont use them constantly, and this winter I've not needed them as much as previous winters. My electricity bill is a fortune regardless of the lamps!

Thank you very much.
The wall mounted patio heaters are a very good idea but was taking the lazy route of Sunswitch as they have token and timer controls.

Mil1212 can I ask what size of box you have yours in? The box I want to use is 10 (width)x 12. I am a little worried that it is too large an area.

I've got the Equinesunswitch ones up on the top of the internal stable walls in 1 stable, angled downwards obviously. In the other stable I have them fixed to a frame which hangs from one of the roof struts. They work very well, I've never had a problem with them and would recommend. I've had them in for about 5 years I guess.
