"Sold from field"....

i brought a horse who was sold from the field. Reason being they were short staffed, it was young so had only been sat on a couple of times, so they tuned it out. Turns out it was a very good descision and she turned into a lovely horse :)

I will add i only paid £695 - i would never spend any more than a grand on something sold from the field unless exceptional circumstances :)

I did it, I bought a horse who I was told hadn't been ridden "in a year". Was one of two horses kept marvellously well by a friend, to cut a long story short he was @83....and yes it IS a long story. Rode him in the field, hacked out three times, bought his overweight hairy self! Turned into a flippin marvellous horse and one who could babysit the youngsters out on their first hacks, and lifted me out of my confidence crisis. Best thing I ever did, but NOT recommended for a novice.

Later I found out it was TWO years lol!

In your situation, I would expect for the daughter/seller get on and ride for you to see, before you get on. Loss of interest is one thing, but they should be interested enough to sell it to get on it! If they won't I would worry.
