and tomorrow he goes to his new home :(

I know its for the right reasons but I'm still heartbroken. I've had him for over 3 years and we've been through a lot together. My job isn't reliable enough and secure enough at the minute and I was struggling on my hours (last week I earned 12 pounds!) so no way could I support myself, nevermind my TB. I've basically lost my job.
He's going to a good home where he will have a purpose in life now and I've had quite a lot of stick about it but I'm being realistic and I think I'm doing the right thing. I can now learn to drive, spend a little time on myself and my neglected OH and then get a new horse when I get a better job and I'm sorted in a few months time.

Just one question though; I don't want to be out of riding forever and want to have some lessons with a good instructor and some good horses so has anyone got any ideas where I can go in Leics/Notts.
I know of
Markfield
Bunny EC
Vale View
Brooksby
So any ideas would be greatfully received :).

Hugs and sympathy, but well done for recognizing what's best for your horse and doing it, although I'm sure it doesn't feel that it's the best for you

Awww mattie i thought you wernt selling now but im sure its the right thing to do :(! When you go visit your bf in east leake come to my yard we have a small scale riding school (Elms farm). Lots of hugs i know how much you love your boy xx

P.S. Vale veiw is stupidly expensive - we go to barleyfields every wednesday with the uni riding club if you ever want to tag along to the lessons, i have a car and can give you a lift!

How much would it be to go to barleyfields with you? Might take you up on that offer :).

It is sad and I loved him so much but its for the best for him really. Can get myself sorted. Drove past your place the other day and thought about you. Will try and pop in and see you soon and have a look around your place. What are the lessons like? xx

Aww and yes you should! Lessons are £22 for an hours group lesson on their horses in the indoor school so we wont get rained on or anything and its well lit at night :p! We do jumping/flat swaping every other week so next wednesday is jumping, wednesday after flat etc :)! lessons 8.30 till 9.30 pm!

As for my yard no idea on prices on her horses cause i always have a lesson on snowy, she only offers private/semi private lessons unless you find people to have a lesson with (you can always have one with me and my friend!). They are relaxed and you choose what you want to do flat or jumping. There are 2 horses that will jump nicely and 3 that will flat nicely (and one OAP beginner horse who is lovely!!). All the rest are ponies, a couple can be ridden by adults though if you wanted a pony haha!
