Solo combs - are your horses scared?!?

Attempted to tidy up the hairy yaks mane this morning! He does not like the solo comb, this is a horse who is fairly horizontal about most things to be honest! I'm not sure if it was the noise or the sensation?

Are your horses scared?

my horse is an utter wimp when it comes to scissors, a pulling comb, clippers. A solo comb is about the only thing i can use, it doesnt casue him any pain (like the pulling comb) and he just thinks it is a brush i do have to push the blade very slowly to not make a scissoring noise.
I dont know how yours wouldnt like it, unless he doesnt like scissor noises. I cant see how it would give a wierd sensation unless it isnt working correctly.

It's a brand new one so really sharp! He then let me do it with scissors (I know you shouldn't but he's not a show horse ;-)) and wasn't fussed at all?!? Horses hey xx

My horse who is scared of everthing-even a new haynet once because it was red!!!! is fine with a solo comb
